We are continuing to add to our Kareo medical billing software support team in order to provide the best possible experience for our Kareo users. Meet our newest team members:
Marilyn Colin comes to Kareo with over three years of experience as a Support Representative. Prior to working for a medical billing software company, Marliyn was at a billing company for Physical Therapy. As a previous biller, she was interested in Kareo for the “electronic features that are offered.” She adds, “Although Kareo is the best, Kareo is always working on becoming better.”
Marilyn attended Newbridge College and graduated with a degree in Medical Office Management and Medical Billing. In her spare time, she likes dirt bike riding, outdoor runs and going on adventures with her son.
With over nine years of combined experience in support, Janet Anwyl is our next Kareo Customer Support Representative. Before joining Kareo, Janet was the Manager of Customer Support at Apani Networks – a network security software company. What interested her about Kareo is the opportunity to work in customer support. She “enjoys working with customers and the challenge of troubleshooting issues.” Additionally, Janet is excited to be part of a growing company.
Janet received her A.B. in Geophysics from Occidental College. Furthermore, she spent one year as an exchange student at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. Her free time is spent making music. She is an amateur flutist, choral singer and taiko (Japanese drums) player. Janet also enjoys attending the opera, theater and musical performances.
Our next new team member is Ramey Becker, who is Kareo’s Account Manager. With an extensive background and knowledge in medical reimbursement, software development and process improvement, Ramey is a notable addition to the company.
Prior to Kareo, Ramey consulted in medical reimbursement and office management for small group healthcare practices and it wasn’t until she demonstrated Kareo at a conference that she decided to return to college to get her Bachelor’s in Health Administration – Health Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. What interests Ramey most about Kareo is “the way that Kareo drives the medical practice and provides logical actions to help eliminate the tedious errors that can happen so easily.”
Ramey spends her free time attending USC football games as a season ticket holder; she is also involved in animal rescue with Pups and Pals, Inc. Lastly, Ramey coined the term “Effective Efficiency.” She adds, “Without one, the other is useless!”
Adding to our Customer Support staff is Myke Kell from Irvine, CA. Before becoming a part of the medical billing industry, Myke was the Southeastern US and International Territory Manager for Smarthome, a Home Automation company.
What interested Myke about Kareo was the “fabulous camaraderie and spirit of the Kareo team.” He adds, “Everyone is so very supportive, friendly, helpful and have phenomenal senses of humor.”
When Myke isn’t attending to customer needs at Kareo, he spends a large amount of his free time with friends, family and most importantly, his son. Additionally, he is involved with his son’s soccer team and Boy Scout troop.
Another new member of the Customer Support Representative Team is Van Yamamoto. Van previously worked in a private medical practice specializing in Pain Management as the Workers Compensation Collector/IT Administrator for over seven years. Furthermore, he has been in the Billing and Collections field since 1991.
What Van likes about Kareo is that “it is a cutting edge product at an affordable price and has been the easiest to learn and use.” Additionally He is a great addition because coming from the client side, he “can relate to what is expected from Customer Support.”
In his spare time, Van likes to fish and play roller hockey.
With over 11 years of experience in the medical field, Karina Muniz is the final addition to Kareo’s Support and Implementation team. Karina has worked in all aspects of Administrative and Clinical Medical Assisting, Medical Billing, Medical Coding/Transcription and Medical Office Management and Consulting.
When asked what interested her about Kareo, she replied: “Kareo understands how ‘golden’ a software is when it is user friendly and efficient.” Moreover, she loves the “togetherness and team effort that is put into everything done at Kareo.”
Karina is a current member of AAPC and is a big believer in life-long learning. She enjoys going to concerts and listening to live music with family and friends. She also loves to karaoke because it makes her laugh.
