New Billing Analytics Added to Kareo Medical Billing

Kareo Medical Billing has been updated to include Billing Analytics, which provides you with an easy way to gauge your practice’s financial health. You can now view insights on your patient visits, billing, collections, and accounts receivable.

Filters
Data filters enable you to view your billing analytics for specific desired date ranges. You can view reports by week, month, and year. To find out more, read the full release notes.

Analytics by Section
“Top of mind” provides you with high level insights into how your practice is doing. You can easily scan high level financials and compare them to prior periods.

You can also drill down to view your total number of patient visits, gross charges, collections and A/R for the selected date period and do a comparison with the prior period. To find out more, read the full release notes.

How Much Did I Bill?
“How much did I bill” provides you with insights into how much you are billing. You will be able to view your total gross charges, average gross charges per encounters, and for which procedures you are billing the most.

How Much Did I Collect?
“How much did I collect” provides you with insights into your collections. You will be able to view your total collections, gross charges versus collections, and payers that you’ve collected the most from.

How Much Is Outstanding?
“How much is outstanding” provides you with insights into your Accounts Receivable. You will be able to view your total Accounts Receivable balance, how your Days Revenue Outstanding is trending, and your payers that have the highest A/R amount.

Process Worker’s Comp and Auto Insurance Claims Electronically Now with Kareo

On Friday, February 19 Kareo Practice Management was updated to include a connection with a new clearinghouse, Jopari. This allows you to send Workers Compensation and Auto Insurance Claims electronically, including attachments. By sending claims electronically you will save time and money and eliminate the tedious manual work of printing and mailing these claims. To learn more, see below.

Faster Time to Payment with Electronic Submission

Send Worker’s Compensation and Auto Insurance Claims electronically using our new clearinghouse connection with Jopari. Receive confirmation from the clearinghouse upon acceptance and proof of timely filing. To learn how to add a new payer or edit an existing payer, read the full release notes.

Attach Required Documentation to Claims

Jopari makes it easy to attach documents to the claim. This eliminates the tedious manual work of printing and mailing these claims. Attach documents such as your Initial Evaluations Reports and PR2 forms along with your claims. Jopari supports sending attachments to a claim in PDF and TIFF formats. To us this feature, Create and save a Draft Encounter with Jopari named as the insurance payer. Go to the Documents tab, then attach your supporting documentation along with your claim. To learn more, read the full release notes.

Jopari Paper Claim Options

In the case where the payer does not accept claims electronically, Jopari will print and mail the claim for a small convenience fee. By using this option, you will save time, effort, and the hassle of manually processing these claims. Additional charges will be billed to your account per paper claim of $.90 cents for the first page, which includes postage and $.20 for each additional page. To learn more, read the full release notes.
